Mom passed at the beginning of August. It has been a little over a month, but it is still hard for me to get my head around even the idea that she is gone, let alone to deal with the reality of it. In a lot of ways, it is not exactly real. The initial trauma has passed, but the eventual realizations later are still going to be tough to go through.
